Typical aerodynamic analyses and testing of single vehicles on test track, in wind tunnel or in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) do not account for these real world effects. However, it is possible with simulation and on-road testing to evaluate these aerodynamic interactions. Materials and engineering catalogue details all new titles and complete backlist titles available.

That report provided a series of findings and recommendations on the development.

For these situations, sled testing becomes the preferred evaluation method. Sled testing allows engineers to reproduce the dynamic conditions of a full-scale crash test in a controlled environment at a fraction of the cost. A particular advantage of sled testing is that only a single vehicle is consumed.

Get this from a library. Full-scale transmission testing to evaluate advanced lubricants. [David G Lewicki; Harry J Decker; John T Shimski; United States. Army Aviation Systems Command.; United States. National Aeronautics and Space Administration.].

The goal of the experiments was to develop a testing procedure to fail certain transmission components using a MIL-L base reference oil, then run identical tests with improved lubricants and demonstrate performance. The tests were directed at failing components that the Navy has had problems with due to marginal lubrication.

However, the current overall ground strength testing systems employ a large number of wires for communication among sensors and data acquisition facilities.

The centralized data processing makes test programs lack efficiency Cited by: In real aircraft structures the comfort and the occupational performance of crewmembers and passengers are affected by the presence of noise.

In this sense, special attention is focused on mechanical and material design for isolation and vibration control. Experimental characterization and, in particular, experimental modal analysis, provides information for adequate cabin noise Cited by: 7. Full-scale component tests are decisive for qualification of a given gear oil to one of the API GL quality levels.

For example, to meet the performance specifications of API GL-5, apart from assessment of some oil physico-chemical properties, one has to carry out also com-ponent testing advised by CRC (Coordinating Research. The base technology developed earlier by the FMIT Project (Fusion Materials Testing Facility Project, –) has recently been advanced in the accelerator technology aspect.

In Japan, the ESNIT Program has been promoted sincein which the capability of energy selectivity has drawn special attention in resolving the issues specific.
